Welcome to the Aspinall Arms. We hope you enjoy your visit, whether it’s for a drink with friends or something to eat before a relaxing walk along the River Ribble. There is a vast amount of history in and around Mitton. All Hallows Church is thought to date back as early as 1270and contains the tomb of the Shireburn family, whose family home, Stonyhurst College, is just 2 miles away. Three miles away is Whalley Abbey dating back to 1296.

The Aspinall Arms, originally called the Mitton Boat, dates back over 400 years. Before the construction of the bridge, there was a rowboat ferry over the Ribble and the old ferryman’s house is now incorporated into the structure of the pub. Here at the Aspinall we serve freshly prepared food, using local produce and we have three lovely cask ales.
